so-called 'Happy Hour'...
I went IMU in the early morning to settle my PTPTN-related matters. Afterwards, li guo, yen wei, zhi yang and I went to cheras plaza’s neway karaoke to have a ‘K-lunch’ from 11am to 1pm as we planned yesterday. Unfortunately, cheras plaza had no electricity and the person in-charged asked us to come back at 12pm. So we had a walk in Leisure mall and then came back to neway at 12pm. “Darn him!” the neway there still short of electricity after the long 1 hour wait.
No choice, since our main aim was to sing-k today. So at last we drove to times square, had our so-called ‘breakfast’ there and headed to the neway afterwards. It already passed the ‘K-lunch’ hour, so we registered for the ‘Happy Hour’ session. There’s something tricky here which we only managed to know when we had our bill. (will elaborate more later)
So we went in to the room no. 47 and sang like crazy inside. During the sing-k session, I managed to give all my frens new nicknames;
The SINGING Singer, Yen Wei- The one who held the mic all the time, and liked to sing in solo. Unfortunately, he had no chance to do so because 3 of us kept ‘kacau’ him.
The SILENT Singer, Li Guo- The one whose sound was a bit hard to be noticed. (Maybe it was due to the mic problem?) Anyhow, I still managed to hear it.
The READING Singer, Zhi Yang- The one who taught us to read the lyrics when u don know how to sing, and he did practice it during the K-session.
Here comes the tricky part…
It was rm66.70 and we thought it should be around rm31. 3 of us showed them our ID, so we eligible for the student rate at rm5 per person. 1 of us forgot to bring the ID so his entrance fee is at rm16. The difference between rm5 and the rm16 is; rm16 can have 2 drinks or 1 drink & 1 meal whereas for the rm5 can only have 1 drink.
But what actually happened is if your entrance fee is at rm5, then the neway there will “force” u to have the nuts which cost rm9, so it costs you rm14 but with 1 drink only. ‘Darn them!!!’ if I know it earlier, I won show them my ID. The moral of the story is “there is no free lunch in this world”, so remember to ask clearly first before u go to any karaoke.
