Another day wasted, again… (23th Feb)

Today I had a lecture on 8.30am, followed by a PBL (problem-based learning) session 2 at 10.30am. I was presenting a topic on “complications of cirrhosis” today; cirrhosis is one of the liver diseases. (Not going to elaborate here)

After the PBL session, we all planned to have our lunch at canteen or Food Avenue. But u guys know what, it was so damn crowded and we can’t even see a single seat available. No choice, at last we decided to have our lunch at Alison Restaurant. Well, due to the presence of the “rate-determining step”- YW, we were late for the Immunology lecture which started at 1.30pm.

Since LG and ZY were still suffering from “joint-ache” and sore throat (respectively), I fetched them to Tung Shin Hospital after sent YW back IMU. We went to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) department, and it took us ages waiting there. I have nothing to comment about the department itself, but hopefully they will improve their efficiency from now on…

We (LG, ZY, HP and I) went to Times Square after that, and able to buy the movie tickets at student rate. We watched “Big Mama’s House 2”, it was really a very nice comedy to recommend to u all. I rate it 9 over 10, worth to watch it man! I was laughing like hell… The movie ended at around 6.30pm, and then we had our dinner at Johnny’s Restaurant… Thumbs up for the honeydew ice-cream!

After I sent they all back to vista, I headed home straight away. Dan told me he was at PJ having a drink with Joel. Well, I didn’t join them since I was too tired to go out again. In addition, I don wan to go out in formal attire. Went back and "browsed" through the practical manual for the practical tomolo.

Another day wasted, again… Who can help me with the piling works?

Another day wasted BUT with big secret revealed…* (21st Feb)

Supposedly I’ll be having lectures from 1pm to 5pm today, but I have decided to skip all the lectures, yesterday. I thought I’ll have one free day for me to catch up with all the piling lecture notes and portfolios. But… chris sms me all of sudden. Here’s our conversation. Sorry for the broken English…

Chris: My gal gal b’day soon. Are u free to come out to buy present with me ah?
Me: I got many things to do wor. Next time cannot meh? When’s her b’day?
Chris: Cannot la. Tomolo’s her b’day. Pls la, I wan to pass her the present tonite.
Me: Ask leng2 go with u la, or Jason also can. I think they will be free at noon.
Chris: Your taste is better ma. Hehe. Pls la, I come and fetch u and treat u lunch la… my gal gal liked the present u chose last year.
(I forgot what I chose last year…)
Me: Coincidence only la. Leng2 has good taste also… Find her la…
Chris: Ok la, I’ll call her first.

(Praying hard that leng2 will be free…)
5mins later…

Chris: Leng2 is not free la, she said she’s going out with someone.
Me: Who’s that someone? She got bf liao meh?
Chris: I donno la. Pls la, go buy present with me la… Pls la… I fetch u, treat u lunch, plus 200g famous amos cookies.
Me: I wan 500g...
Chris: Deal! Come to fetch u now. Old house or new house?
Me: Wow, so generous of u la. Kidding only la, no need to spend so much on me, i'll feel guilty one. haha. I’ll be at old house. Anyway just u and me? Find more ppl la…
Chris: Then ask KH along…
Me: Fine, I long time no see him liao. I sms him la. Let u know later.
Chris: Ok.

(KH is not free either)

Me: He’s not free wor… Nvm la, we go first la.
Chris: Ok, see u half an hour later.
Me: Ok, u slow slow come.

We went to One Utama to shop for her gf present, but seriously I really have no idea what to buy. So we were just loitering around… Suddenly, we saw Leng2 and KH. OMG… are they attached? Chris and I were so “geh boh” and we decided to follow them… hehe. Well, we didn’t see them holding hands so we just assumed that they are now still frens prior to become couple. I gotta tell this big secret to the remaining gang members. haha…

We were kind enough to let them “discover” our presence. Well, surprisingly they didn’t feel surprise or hide from us. Leng2 told us that KH is interested in one of her frens, so he asked leng2 out to give him the so-called tips. I guess I know who KH likes… hehe. So, the four of us ended up having lunch together at MONG KOK restaurant. I still have the nausea feelings when I saw the menu due to the past “pleasant” experience (not going to elaborate here, my IMU gang knows why does it so).

After that, we went to shop for chris’s gal gal present. At last, leng2 and I decided to choose the latest i-dog as the present. Why?

The i-dog is not cheap either. It costs him around 250 bucks (I supposed) because he bought the red instead of the white one. For your information, the red is more expensive than the white one (I donno why anyway). I didn’t bring my camera so unable to snap the photo of it. However, here’s a photo I managed to get from the internet.

The white i-dog. i saw it at low yat plaza too.

Gosh… my works are PILING UP. Anyway I still managed to revise 2 lectures on Immunology and ADR… =)

Happy Chinese New Year! GONG XI FA CAI! (29th Jan)

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone out there! GONG XI FA CAI!!!

Well, let's see how's the overall luck of those who belonged to the zodiac year of RAT... it was from WOFS.

RAT:
The coming year promises good luck for the Rat with improvements in income luck. There is good wealth luck and also excellent income luck, however, due to the 3 Killings residing in your house this year, you may encounter some minor mishaps. Display the 3 Coin Swords in the North or alternatively, wear a Gold Chi Lin Amulet to keep unforeseen bad luck from happening. So, although there may chances to make plenty of money, it may be difficult to hold on to the additional money that comes your way. Thus, wear the 9-Eye Dzi to protect your wealth. Transform your good luck this year by doing good deeds and contributing your time and effort to charitable causes. The first half of the year will prove to be better then the second half of the year. Your best months are February, March, April and June. This is a good year to build a Wealth Vase for good luck over the next 20 years. Place a Nanbu Lock Coin under your pillow to protect your cash flow and keep wealth in the family. Display a Wealth God in your house for speculative luck.

As usual, we went back to hometown (Kampar) on the 2nd-Day of CNY. Gosh, the highway was so damn jammed!!!

Sooooooooooo jammed.

Happy B’day: Li Guo (25th Jan)

Today is LG (our ah pa)’s b’day. Well, we have a pre-celebration with him by having lunch with him at CMC centre after the Dispensing PSD session. We bought ah pa a wallet from WILD CHANNEL. It looks quite nice but I forgot to snap a photo on it. Sorry guys...

After that, YW, CW, ZY, PH and I rushed back to IMU to attend the G.I.T. system CAL session whereas LG and HP went to UKM to look for some books before the Comp Med lecture. After we finished the 2 “donno-what-the-lecturer-says” lecturers, we headed to FOODS & TEAS nearby leisure mall to have an official-celebration with ah pa.

Happy B’day: Mommy (22nd Jan)

Today is my mom’s b’day (in Chinese calendar). In order to give her a surprise, my sis and I sneaked out to buy a dozen of roses and a green tea cake from BREAD STORY. Oh yup, I remember my mom keeps complaining that my dad never gave her flowers. So we decided to buy another 3 roses on behalf of my dad. My mom just loves FLOWERS!!! =)

Happy B’day: Chan Hoe (15th Jan)

Actually hoe’s b’day falls on 16th Jan, which is Monday. Since most of us can’t make it tomolo, we decided to celebrate with him today. A special thank to Ben as he is very kind enough to fetch me, he knows i’m just too lazy to drive. Hehe.

We went QUAN Coffee House, ordered some drinks and foods and chit-chatted from 5pm to 8pm as Hoe needed to catch up with his family to go for dinner. It was such a nice conversation with them although we did not have much time to catch up with each others since our new semester started. Anyway, we bought a sling bag from TROPICANA LIFE as a present to him. Please see the photo below. Quite nice right? Hehe.

I went to ben’s house after the yum char session. Wow, his house looks so nice after renovation. u can see big differences before and after renovation, seriously! Well, he came to my house after that so that I can pass him the souvenirs from Fang Jen.

Yup... I left my umbrella in ben’s car and the “umbrealla case” in hoe’s house. Sigh. My forgetful self...

Happy 21st B’day: Vee Eng* (19th Jan)

Actually I should celebrate her b’day which falls on 20th Jan which is tomolo. But due to unforeseen reason, I only managed to join the other gang to have a pre-celebration with her tonight. My other gang members (except Jason) decided to celebrate it with her tomolo. Anyway happy b’day ya… =)

We headed to PJ after Jason fetched me as I’m not that familiar with the PJ area. After that, we have drinks at COFFEE BEAN and chit-chatted until late night. There are around 10 of us… my gang bought a watch from SWATCH to her as 21st b’day is really a big day for her. Well, I think VE likes the watch so much. Thanks to “leng leng” for choosing it.

Happy B’day: Chia Whey, Lai Yee and Cindy (13th jan)

Today we had a practical on preparing the injection dosage form (ampoule), and the drug we required to prepare for our group was lignocaine. Well, for this particular practical we needed to adhere to GMP (good manufacturing practice) in order to avoid any possible contaminations. For that reason, we looked funny in those fibre dressings. Here’s a photo I managed to take in the working area.

Funny-looking… can u spot me?

Hmm… basically my role was as a parasite in my group, most of things were done by julian, lai yee, and yen wei. This was simply because I could not digest those entire things (especially the calculations part) so fast. My only contribution was weighing the ingredient, filling the ready solution into ampoules and sealing it. Sealing was the most interesting part after all; we were using the super-heated flame to melt the tip of the ampoules while rotating it, and then sealed it. It was so artistic…

Chia Whey was the b’day boy, so we had a brief celebration with him at SWEET TALK after we had the 2 lectures on complementary medicine and dispensing. Our present for him was a thermal mug bought from NIKE. It looked quite nice but I forgot to snap a photo on it.

B’day boy having the cake.

Well, the foods they served became progressively nice to taste, as compared to those foods I tasted few years back. So keep up the good work ya… yup, I need to mention something here so that I won repeat the same mistake again… I left my things AGAIN (digital camera for this time) while leaving the restaurant, luckily one of the waiters there kind enough to give it back to me. Shit, I need to find some ways to improve my memory… For your information, I already left my wallet, hand phones, and other things for ‘n’ times, but luckily my friends managed to keep it for me first.

Not forgetting Lai Yee and Cindy… “Happy Birthday to u!!!”. =)

And to ZY, get well soon… and don forget to search information for your topic on the portfolio. We need to learn from other gangs to become more efficient.
